CoderCamp5 on Tuesday October 23rd

October 4, 2012 in CoderCamp, Community, Hamilton

This month’s CoderCamp is taking a detour from the usual “second Thursday of the month” time and the Acclamation downstairs lounge location that we’ve been meeting at lately. This month we’ll meet on Tuesday October 23rd in the back of Chester’s Beers of the World. We’ll get back onto a regular schedule after this, the detour is temporary and was due to a double whammy of Acclamation being unavailable at the usual time and Lion’s Lair being scheduled that day as well, apologies for the inconvenience. Chester’s Beers of the World has probably the best bottled and canned beer selection in the city, with a lengthy menu of international and domestic brews from which to choose from, and the back section seems well suited for a CoderCamp event.

If you haven’t heard of it yet, CoderCamp is an unconference in the same spirit as BarCamp. CoderCamp is for local software developers to learn techniques and technologies from one another in a casual setting. We meet to talk about coding, to learn from each other, and get better at what we do in the process. We have a projector and screen setup for people to give talks. You don’t have to give a talk to attend, but we welcome you to come, talk and share what you know as well. CoderCamp really is for software developers, so please don’t come if you aren’t a software developer, are coming to network, or are recruiting software developers for whatever purpose – instead come to StartupDrinks or DemoCamp where you’ll be able to network and meet software developers!
