CFL Player’s Association launches made-in-Hamilton mobile app
(STONEY CREEK, ON) CFLPA Mobile for players, alumni and fans is now available on the Apple App Store, Google Play, Blackberry World, and Windows Phone Store.
The CFL Players’ Association is proud to announce the launch of a new mobile application for smart phones called CFLPA Mobile (www.cflplayers.ca). CFLPA Mobile is a new “hub” for players, alumni and fans of the CFL to access, share and exchange key information on players, exclusive CFLPA programs, events and offers.
Released as a pilot in November 2013 just prior to the CFL Grey Cup event in Regina, the CFL Players’ Association is gearing up for a broader launch for the 2014 football season. “Fans are hungry to connect with the player community. CFLPA Mobile is modern, youthful and easy-to-use. Whether you are a fan looking for information on your favourite player or a CFL player looking to enhance your experience during your career, this is your one-stop shop”, states CFLPA President Mike Morreale.
Offering features for fans like player profiles, CFLPA merchandise through the online store, upcoming events, CFL game schedule, and CFL news feeds, CFLPA Mobile is an asset for any fan, journalist or follower of the Canadian Football League. For players, the CFL Players’ Association focused on responding to player needs and enhancing their career experience by linking exclusive CFLPA discounts and offers, continuing education, public speaking engagements, a CFLPA job board, digital signatures to sign critical documents, and instantaneous player messaging from CFLPA President.
“The CFLPA is committed to connecting with the player community in a meaningful way and providing opportunities to further enhance player careers, both on and off the field. With the addition of the Ottawa RedBlacks, the time is better than any to further focus on programs that better connect and address the needs of the over 460+ players in the CFL, while also connecting them to the fans” explained Mike Morreale.
CFLPA Mobile is free-of-charge and is available in Canada and the United States for Apple, Blackberry, Android and Windows products. The app can be downloaded at www.cflplayers.ca.
CFLPA Mobile was developed by Weever Apps, a mobile app software company based in Hamilton, Ontario.
