Demo 2
We are a startup named RentHost and our goal is to help enhance the rental housing search experience for Canadian students and assist property owners better list and manage their properties. RentHost’s modern, map-based search interface and advanced filters makes it easier for students to search off-campus housing. We let them shortlist listings, get alerts based on their search, and allow them to communicate and schedule showings with property owners through our platform. For property owners and managers, we help them save time and effort by letting them list on multiple websites with one click and give them metrics on their listings’ performance. Using our platform, they are able to better manage their leads from a central inbox. Adopting a lean approach, we launched a minimum viable product last year, allowing us to test and incorporate new features to our online service. This year, we have launched our service in Hamilton for both McMaster University and Mohawk College, the major post-secondary institutions in the city. We are currently investing in our marketing efforts, in order to maximize our reach to students in Hamilton, helping them save time and make off-campus housing search easier.
