DemoCampHamilton6 demo line-up announced

DemoCampHamilton6 will be happening Tuesday March 20th, 2012 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm in the Twelve Eighty Pub @ McMaster University (1280 Main Street West Hamilton, Ontario). Please register here to let us know how many people to expect that evening!

We’re going to start off with a keynote by Joel Auge (@joelauge, the CEO and co-founder of HitGrab Inc, a leader in social gaming, on building a great gaming company. In March of 2008, HitGrab created MouseHunt, which is now one of the most successful (in terms of user engagement) games on Facebook.  HitGrab has also created LevynLight, a ‘light’ fantasy RPG that’s focused on simplicity, allowing you to jump in at anytime and have quick bursts of fun throughout the day!

This will be followed by a series of great live tech demos:

Demo 1
indieoption (@indieoption) is a networking hub designed for independent filmmakers to find the resources (cast, crew, locations, props, etc.) necessary to develop their project. It provides a collaborative environment where we can organize and manage our teams to increase our production value and create a product that people will want to watch.

Demo 2
Snakehead Games (@snakeheadgames)

Demo 3
Campus Social is a web service and mobile app that helps student clubs promote events and manage their online presence. Student clubs and societies can get a customized mobile app, mobile website and a event publishing platform that makes it easy to promote events and get the word out about upcoming activities. Demo by Alex Alywin (@alexalywin).

Demo 4
FluidMedia will demo a developer-level R&D tracking service.

Demo 5
Green Pixel (@GreenPixelDev)

Demo 6
“Social Hamilton” (tentative name) by Steve Veerman, a web app which aggregates social media information from ‘places’ (businesses, restaurants, schools, etc) across Hamilton and allows a user to quickly find events and updates in the city.
