Free Technology Entrepreneurship class – March 23rd signup deadline!

Stanford professor Chuck Eesley has started a venture class online, for free, that you can sign up for today. If you’re interested in having a local team like I am please contact me (alexpineda86@gmail.com) before signing up. The venture groups are of four people, and any empty spots are filled using their team formation tool and process which attempts to match you with other people around the world of similar interests and complimentary skill-sets. If you do sign up and don’t wish to be organized with local participants please still feel free to contact me so we can get a general idea of participation levels. Remember the course is more about learning about the world of tech. entrepreneurship and actually launching the venture is up to you and your group after the course is over with. Mentors are not appropriated for online students so 1 to 2 mentors must be looked for by your group. I’ll do my best to assist in this fashion to the best of my ability. Have fun!

Key Points of the Course:

A Science and Engineering Approach

  • Scientific method applied to startups

Combines Theory and Practice

  • You create a startup, we provide frameworks/experts

Driven by Research

  • Most e-ship classes are only war stories by successful entrepreneurs

What will you learn?

1. Articulate a process for taking a technology/idea and finding a high-potential commercial opportunity.
2. Create and verify a plan for gathering resources such as talent and capital.
3. Create and verify a business model for how to sell and market an entrepreneurial idea.
4. Generalize this process to an entrepreneurial mindset of turning problems into opportunities that can be used in larger companies and other settings.
