Photoshop script to re-size mobile icons

photoshopI’ve written a Photoshop script to help automate the process of re-sizing and saving all the different sizes needed for different platforms.

Sizes included in this script are.

1024 x 1024
512 x 512
480 x 480
256 x 256
152 x 152
144 x 144
128 x 128
120 x 120
114 x 114
100 x 100
96 x 96
80 x 80
76 x 76
75 x 75
72 x 72
64 x 64
60 x 60
58 x 58
57 x 57
50 x 50
48 x 48
40 x 40
36 x 36
29 x 29
16 x 16

The only thing I haven’t done here is name them to any specific naming conventions that a device or platform may require.

This should cover most sizes needed, including the few new sizes for iOS 7.

HOW TO USE:
Save to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Utilities – CS5\ExtendScript Toolkit CS5\SDK
*keep in mind this is my path, yours might be different.

Close and re-open Photoshop.

File > Scripts > Browse  -* Navigate to the iconscript.jsx file *-

Follow steps to save your icons.

Image must be square and at least 1024 x 1024.
