We’ve confirmed our speaker for the March Freelancer Meetup! The topic will be all about LinkedIn, and using it to find clients and build your business network. A fantastic topic if you’re just starting out and looking for ways to build your client base, as well as tips for established freelancers who need a ‘facelift’ to their LinkedIn profile 😉
We’re going with a Thursday night this time, by popular request.
Presentation: Rachael Abram, Social Media Marketing Manager at The Generator will be speaking about how to optimize your personal brand on LinkedIn.
Rachael is a digital media marketer, communications specialist, and writing enthusiast. Known as a self-starter with a passion for creativity, she has a history of helping SMBs and start-ups from various industries (food, IT/security, not-for-profit, human rights, etc.) with their online content production and lead generation. She is a Certified Hootsuite Professional, with experience across multiple social media platforms (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) and is also a practiced writer across various styles including blogging, forensic, technical, creative, expository, and storytelling.

Freelancer Meetups are monthly events run by the Hamilton Freelancers Association. Parking
There is plenty of parking in the IMPARK parking lot next to the venue. Entrance to the parking lot is accessible off James Street S. as well as off Augusta Street beside The Pheasant Plucker (20 Augusta).
