HP seeks tech suppliers; Deadline to apply Jan 14
HP is seeking several technologies in 3D printing, Immersive Experiences, IoTs and Wearables, and VR/AR and you can apply now to meet with James Taylor, Director, EcoSystem Development and Venture Outreach; Ed Davis, Director, 3D Printing Strategy; Doug Warner, VP Strategy and Incubation; Andrew Bolwell, Director Tech Vision. The meetings will take place in San Diego, California on Feb. 18-18 (deadline to apply is Jan 14). The meetings are done via the MarketLink program supported by the Canadian Consulate in San Diego. Successful applicants will get an hour one-on-one corporate meeting with the multinational, during which they will discuss potential business opportunities. Canadian companies that are accepted to MarketLink can receive assistance in preparing for this meeting from the Canadian Consulate in San Diego. Apply for funding to commercialize before Jan 31
Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks (CENGN), is a consortium of industry, academic and research leaders dedicated to accelerating the commercialization of next generation communications solutions. CENGN is once again opening its project submission round to Canada’s most innovative Small-to-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups. Successful projects will receive commercialization acceleration support equivalent to $50,000 – $100,000. Deadline to apply is January 31. For more information visit www.cengn.ca

Ontario mission to DistribuTech, Orlando, FL, February 9-11
A few exhibit spaces remain in the Ontario Pavilion at DistribuTECH 2016 (www.distributech.com), the utility industry’s leading annual Transmission & Distribution conference and exhibition. The 2015 event attracted more than 11700 attendees from 67 countries and 400 utilities. This event covers many utility transmission and distribution related technologies and services including mobile technology, communication technologies and equipment, IT and software, instrumentation and controls, data acquisition and analytics. The participation fee is $2500 ($2000 for first-time participants). Registration closes next week. Ontario’s International Trade Branch is considering a FINTECH trade mission to Chicago and www.windycitysummit.org/conference-highlights/, on May 26-27. This trade show and conference eis very targeted with over 1,000 attendees and 60 exhibitors with technologies in treasury and cash management sectors. The program, open to eight Ontario-based companies in the sector targeting U.S. and international markets, would include an Ontario pavilion featuring 8 companies, Databases, an Ontario Business reception, market briefing and possibly meetings with local decision-makers. $2,000 for first time participants in an Ontario IT mission to the U.S. (deadline for “Early Bird” is March 31, 2016). Regular fee is $2,500 (travel and accommodation is extra). Past participants have priority registration only if applying with a first time participant approved to join the mission. Ontario wireless trade mission to CTIA, Sept 7-9 – Las Vegas, USA
The Ontario Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade invites you to be part of the Ontario wireless and M2M trade mission to CTIA (www.ctiawireless.com). Twenty four new and established companies will have the opportunity to exhibit in the Ontario Pavilion (# 2425) located on a main aisle next to Verizon and Samsung. Participants will also receive several value-added services including an up-to-date database, promotion at the Ontario Business Reception and a market intelligence briefing. In 2016, CTIA’s Super Mobility Week will feature the entire wireless ecosystem – Connected Heath and Home, M2M, content and networking technologies. Ontario tech trade mission to ComunicAsia, May 31-June 3 – Singapore
Ontario-based businesses are invited to join us, together with 45,000 attendees, at CommunicAsia, the most established ICT event of its kind in Asia (www.communicasia.com). The Ontario government is offering 12 Ontario companies the opportunity to exhibit in the Ontario showcase in the Canadian pavilion. Services offered to attendees include on-site meeting areas and a targeted B2B program involving pre-qualified buyers, decision-makers, strategic partners, distributors and resellers.
