Thrive Games early access release of Dragon of Legends


HAMILTON, Canada – (December 5th, 2017) Thrive Games, a small indie startup based in Hamilton, Ontario, has announced that their flagship product Dragon of Legends, a 2D Online Action RPG, will be ready for Early Access release on December 15th, 2017 (find it here:

After three years of development at The Forge, McMaster University’s Incubator space, co-founders Nathan Dworzak, Michael Huynh, and Parker Martin are now prepared to show the fruits of their labour on Steam Early Access. We are pleased to announce that Dragon of Legends will be available for purchase in an early state of game capacity on Steam’s platform on Friday, December 15th 2017.

The game’s setting and subject matter are centered around the mythical Norse apocalypse, Ragnarok. Players will team up online to complete quests and explore the world of Manheimr, the realm of mortal men and women, in order to thwart the trickster Loki from unleashing Nidhogg, whose destiny includes immolating the world tree called Yggdrasil, that which binds the fabric of the universe together.

The early access program allows us to get the game in the hands of early adopters, so we can incrementally add more content as time goes on. The world of Manheimr and the group dungeons we have planned for you will span the Nine Norse Worlds, in addition to the many territories of the two main continents.

Lead Designer Nathan Dworzak adds, “This Early Access version contains 60% of the first episode to play through, which takes around 4-6 hours to complete, and offers players the chance to experience the first three playable classes – Warrior, Ranger, and Wizard in a single player capacity. Online play is actively being worked on, and should be ready early 2018.”
