Canada to Germany delegation on Big Data and Cybersecurity

The Canadian German Chamber of Industry & Commerce (short: CGCIC) is organizing a delegation trip from Canada to Germany. This delegation will focus on Big Data & Cybersecurity and will be part of the Transatlantic Dialogue Initiative; an initiative which fosters an exchange of ideas, concepts and best-practices between Canada and Germany in Big Data, Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. It is also a great way to establish first good contacts and have a look at what market potential there is in Germany.
We are therefore looking for companies, start-ups and/or institutes which would like to join our delegation for this trip to Germany.

The delegation would happen between November 26.-29., 2018, and is destined for the Ruhr region, specifically the cities of Essen, Bochum and Dortmund with their emerging tech companies. The Ruhr region has once been the industrial powerhouse of Germany with its coal, steel and manufacturing industries, industries which have mostly vanished throughout the second half of the 20th century. Since then the Ruhr region has been trying to reinvent itself as a leading IT cluster within the heart of Europe. As a recent article from the Handelsblatt outlines: the Ruhr region is now an exciting and dynamic place to be as a young tech company.

Besides, the CGCIC will also organize a conference in Dortmund where participants will – together with experts from Germany – discuss trending topics and new developments in their field of expertise.

The Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs & Energy of Germany will cover CAD $1.000 of the participant’s travel expenses for the trip.
